The Emerging Leaders Internship (ELI) program matches students of color with paid summer internships at top companies throughout the Portland metro area.<\/p>\n<p>Their mission is to empower diverse talent to excel as professionals through opportunity and a supportive community. Since 2016, they have placed participants into 500-plus internships, with many successfully transitioning into full-time employment.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s some ELI internship basics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All ELI internships are paid ($18+\/hour)<\/li>\n<li>Full time at 30 to 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks<\/li>\n<li>Summer internships typically running from June to August<\/li>\n<li>Interns work on meaningful projects and receive mentorship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ELI partners with organizations across all industries to place interns into positions<br \/>\nwithin the following job groupings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tech<\/li>\n<li>Marketing &amp; Communications<\/li>\n<li>Business &amp; Entrepreneurship<\/li>\n<li>Operations &amp; Projects<\/li>\n<li>People &amp; Engagement<\/li>\n<li>Finance &amp; Accounting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apply for ELI by Jan. 16 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emergingleaderspdx.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.emergingleaderspdx.org&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1668710334121000&amp;usg=AOvVaw18WAjdvQXfQZvNk6iPBDnD\"><strong>emergingleaderspdx.org<\/strong><\/a>.
