The College of Nursing and College of Social Work are looking for volunteers to participate in our Poverty Simulation on Friday, Oct. 21<\/strong>,\u00a0from\u00a012:30 to 3 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0in Canyon Commons on the Newberg campus.<\/p>\n

This event is\u00a0required<\/strong> for social work and nursing students, and we still need\u00a0many more<\/strong> volunteers to pull this off! This is an eye-opening experience for everyone, and our past volunteers have really enjoyed helping our students in this valuable learning experience.<\/p>\n

No preparation is needed;<\/strong>\u00a0a packet will be given to you at the event with all that you need to know. You will have the opportunity to watch the students as they take on the role of a family living in\u00a0poverty\u00a0and go through daily tasks with the added challenge of\u00a0poverty.<\/p>\n

If you would like to participate, please fill out this\u00a0Google Form<\/a><\/strong> by Friday, Sept. 23.<\/p>\n
