The College of Nursing and College of Social Work are looking for volunteers to participate in our Poverty Simulation on Friday, Oct. 21,<\/strong>\u00a0from 12:30 to 3 p.m.<\/strong> in Canyon Commons on the Newberg campus.<\/p>\n

This event is required for social work and nursing students and depends on volunteers to be a part of the “community.” Volunteers will assume the role of a business owner or agency member (such as a grocery store clerk, pawn shop owner, DMV employee, etc.).<\/p>\n

No preparation is needed; a packet will be given to you at the event with all that you need to know. You will have the opportunity to watch the students as they take on the role of a family living in poverty and go through daily tasks with the added challenge of poverty.<\/p>\n

If you would like participate, please fill out this Google Form<\/strong><\/a> by Sept. 23.<\/p>\n
