{"id":83927,"date":"2022-02-28T14:51:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T22:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/?p=83927"},"modified":"2022-02-24T14:52:22","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T22:52:22","slug":"sign-up-to-tour-portland-art-museum-this-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/2022\/02\/28\/sign-up-to-tour-portland-art-museum-this-saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"Sign up to tour Portland Art Museum this Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cultural Ambassadors are hosting Portland tours aimed at connecting George Fox students with organizations\/businesses that currently use their platforms to center BIPOC communities and their diverse stories.<\/p>\n<p>Our next trip \u00e2\u20ac\u201c to the Portland Art Museum this <strong>Saturday, March 5<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u201c will seek to discuss questions such as: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153How do we support BIPOC artists and their artistic practice?,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153What does it mean to be an activist as an artist?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Who are some local Portland artists that I should know about\/how can I support them?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>We will meet that morning at the Intercultural Resource Center at\u00c2\u00a0<strong>10 a.m<\/strong>. Join us as we discuss these questions, learn more about art as activism, and talk about the amazing legacy that artists of color are creating all around us.<\/p>\n<p>Admission on the tours is free!
