Have you checked your mid-term grade report? Depending upon what you find you need to consider taking some action.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mid-Term grade entry is not comprehensive: YOU NEED TO CHECK IN WITH EACH OF YOUR PROFESSORS TO BE CERTAIN YOU ARE IN PASSING YOUR CLASSES. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note: The deadline to withdraw from classes is this Friday, November 5, 2010.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To check your mid-term grades in MYGFU \u00e2\u20ac\u201c <\/strong><\/p>\n

  • \n
      \nCLICK ON SELF-SERVICE<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    1. \n
        \nCLICK ON ENROLLMENT<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      1. \n
          \nCLICK ON VIEW MY GRADES<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        1. \n
            \nCLICK ON THE CORRECT TERM<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          1. \n
              \nCLICK ON THE MID-TERM GRADES TAB<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

              Now you need to determine what to do next:<\/strong><\/p>\n

            1. \n
                \n

                Consider whether to withdraw from one or more courses if it looks likely that you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get an F (or maybe even a D). <\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

              1. \n
                  \nThe last date to withdraw is Friday November 5th, at 5 p.m. You can usually go below 12 hours (at this point in the semester) without impacting your financial aid. <\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                1. \n
                    \nWithdrawal results in a W on your transcript but does not factor into GPA. If you were to get an F, it would impact GPA. <\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                  1. \n
                      \nConfirm any thoughts of withdrawing from classes with your advisor.<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                    1. \n
                        \nMeet with each professor, especially those teaching courses you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re struggling in. Even if your professor doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t post mid-term grades, find out from the professor what your grade is.<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                      1. \n
                          \nMeet with your advisor to discuss options. <\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                        1. \n
                            \nUse labs, help sessions, & the ARC. <\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                          1. \n
                              \nIf you think you might have a learning disability, have some assessment done. Contact the Health and Counseling Center at 503-554-2340 or stop by their offices.<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                \nPlan well for Spring semester. <\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

                                Consider whether you are in the right pathway in terms of a major or career. You might want to enroll in GEED 214: Claim Your Career Calling, a 1-hour online course:<\/strong><\/p>\n
