{"id":77891,"date":"2021-04-19T15:23:22","date_gmt":"2021-04-19T23:23:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/?p=77891"},"modified":"2021-04-19T15:23:24","modified_gmt":"2021-04-19T23:23:24","slug":"warm-weather-safety-tips-from-campus-public-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/2021\/04\/19\/warm-weather-safety-tips-from-campus-public-safety\/","title":{"rendered":"Warm weather safety tips from Campus Public Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Campus Public Safety would like to offer the following <strong>safety tips<\/strong> as we are enjoying warmer weather:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be sure to secure your windows!<ul><li>If you want to sleep with open windows, buy some wooden dowels and cut them three inches shorter than the width of your window track.<\/li><li>Placing the dowel in your window track locks the window so that nobody can enter from the outside while still allowing cooler evening air to come into your room.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t prop exterior doors open, and be sure to close any exterior doors that you do find propped open.<\/li><li>Do not allow anyone to enter your residence who isn&#8217;t accompanied by another resident.<\/li><li>Walk in pairs at night, or call Campus Public Safety for an escort back to your residence.<\/li><li>If you see somebody who doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seem to belong on campus, contact Campus Public Safety immediately. Don&#8217;t wait!<ul><li>Our officers will respond immediately and will have a better chance of making contact with the individual if you call right away.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions?
