Students in all disciplines are eligible to receive the awards and awards have been used to support everything from summer research in chemistry to a campus film project.<\/p>\n<p>Awards are typically around $3,700 and can include student stipends (undergraduates can include up to $3200 for a summer stipend). Graduate students may apply for stipends; however, graduate student awards typically support direct costs of the research.  Students applying for stipends should indicate the amount of time they intend to spend on the project.<\/p>\n<p>The attached announcement provides details about the Richer Scholar program and on what must be included in an application.  In addition, there is a guide designed to help students in the preparation of proposals. Boise and Salem students should mail their applications to <strong>Chris Koch<\/strong> (at George Fox University, 414 N. Meridian St., Box 6143, Newberg, OR 97132).
