With the academic year fast approaching, the Office of Student Accounts has a couple of refund tips \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/span><\/p>\n

Refund Tip #1: Have you granted \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Financial Aid Permission?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/strong>
\nIf you have not completed a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Financial Aid T4 Permission Form,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d please understand that federal funds cannot pay course fees and fines without your permission. This may result in an unpaid charge and a credit balance at the same time. When that happens, we have to audit the account to be sure the refund is valid. That takes time and slows down refunds significantly.<\/span><\/p>\n

To grant \u00e2\u20ac\u0153permission,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d please sign into\u00c2\u00a0My.GeorgeFox.edu<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and go to your task tile or follow the steps at\u00c2\u00a0this link<\/a>. The federal rule is that you complete this before your financial aid disburses. If your loans have already disbursed for the semester, you will need to complete two steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Complete the form, and<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Email\u00c2\u00a0studentaccountrefunds@georgefox.edu<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0this week to authorize us to pre-date the effective date of your permission form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Refund Tip #2: Participation in Student Account\u00c2\u00a0Direct Deposit<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0is now Mandatory!<\/strong>
    \nIf you have not signed up for Student Account Direct Deposit (DD), you must do so immediately.\u00c2\u00a0 (Employment and Student Accounts DD enrollments are two entirely separate processes.) Please sign into\u00c2\u00a0    My.GeorgeFox.edu<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and go to your task tile to complete this requirement. Failure to do so this week will result in refund delays.<\/span><\/p>\n
