Please review the criteria for the award (below) and consider your nomination. It will aid the committee\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s deliberations if you provide specific examples of good teaching practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award will be announced at the appropriate graduate commencement and\/or hooding ceremony. A plaque and a $2,500 check will be given to this faculty member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Criteria for the award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Currently a full-time faculty member at George Fox teaching graduate courses or courses in the Department of Professional Studies<\/li><li>Unusually significant and meritorious teaching achievement during the past year<\/li><li>Unusual effort devoted to ensuring the quality of the students\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 classroom learning experience<\/li><li>High scholarly standards for both the rigor and currency of course content, and for the level of student performance with respect to these standards<\/li><li>Evidence of the faculty member\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s direct impact upon and involvement with students<\/li><li>The quality of relevant information and nominations submitted by current and former students, including formal teacher evaluations<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduate and DPS students may complete this <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeGuvTnYfy84XsubHD_Glar673YKzmkssE1nDlXX-mfOzKXvQ\/viewform\"><strong>Google nomination form<\/strong><\/a> or send an email to <strong>Laurie Fair <\/strong>(<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:lfair@georgefox.edu\" target=\"_blank\">lfair@georgefox.edu<\/a>) with the name and a statement regarding this faculty member\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s excellence with regard to the above criteria.\u00c2\u00a0Nominations are due today (<strong>Monday<\/strong>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 Faculty Achievement Award for Graduate and DPS Teaching.
