Submit alerts for concerns in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Academic &#8211; Missing multiple classes; consistently poor academic performance<\/li><li>Behavioral &#8211; Concerning or disruptive behaviors in or outside of class<\/li><li>Emotional &#8211; Mental health concerns; unusual emotional expression<\/li><li>Physical &#8211; Medical concerns; extreme changes in grooming, personal care<\/li><li>Social &#8211; Personal, social, or family concerns that are affecting well-being and performance<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask that faculty not send an alert if a student is doing poorly in a class<em> <\/em>unless you have cause to believe the student might be performing poorly in other courses. A preferred first step is for professors to communicate directly with students who aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t performing well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are steps for submitting an alert about a student of concern:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Log into <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/fox360.georgefox.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fox360.georgefox.edu<\/a> using your university username and password.<\/li><li>Click \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Send Alert\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the upper left corner of the screen or click the life preserver on the Fox360 home screen.<\/li><li>Search for the student by name, username or ID, then click the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Send Alert\u00e2\u20ac\u009d icon in the column to the right of the appropriate student.<\/li><li>Complete the alert form.<\/li><li>A member of the Student Support Network will be assigned to follow up on every student of concern.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0ByfYBzjrBUjbd3lsX3ZHbmFfdjQ\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">Fox360 Quick Guide<\/a> provides a visual overview of the Fox360 system; more details about using Fox360 are available in this <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/0ByfYBzjrBUjbWUFIcGxNY3Zfa0k?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">Google folder<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions about the process or are unsure whether to submit an alert, contact<strong> Jere Witherspoon<\/strong> (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:jwithers@georgefox.edu\" target=\"_blank\">jwithers@georgefox.edu<\/a>) or <strong>Rick Muthiah <\/strong>(<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:rmuthiah@georgefox.edu\" target=\"_blank\">rmuthiah@georgefox.edu<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you have concerns about a traditional undergraduate student, log into Fox360 to submit an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153alert\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for the student.
