In it, she addresses the idea that, as leaders, our\ncapacity to hear is often muddied by an inability to acknowledge our own\ninsufficiencies and emotions. She observes how Jesus knew his God-given purpose\nand emotional character so deeply that he was able to operate out of these\nfoundations boldly and instinctively. Jesus\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s infallible Intelligence Quotient\n(IQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) allowed him to focus on a third concept called\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Audience Quotient\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (AQ): an individual\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ability to focus consistently,\ncompletely, and effectively on others. The book argues that, if the church is\nto earn a voice in this culture, it cannot be about the components of church at\nall, but instead must be about the individual souls within the church \u00e2\u20ac\u201c pastors\nincluded.
