The university community is invited to a biology candidate research lecture presented by Dr. Elizabeth DuPriest from 11 a.m. to noon<\/strong> today (Tuesday<\/strong>) in Hoover 102.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fetal and early childhood environmental influences can “program” a baby’s health and risk of disease that they experience later in life. Using nutritional and transgenic models, Dr. DuPriest will explain how maternal influences shape early growth and the structure and function of the offspring’s kidneys, liver, and adipose tissue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The title of Dr. DuPriest’s lecture is “Developmental Origins of Health and Disease: Thank Your Mother for Your Good Health!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
