Steele, in Portland.<\/p>\n<p>This engagement is potentially historic, as the Fourth Gospel (John) has for nearly two centuries been excluded from historical Jesus studies for the first three quests for Jesus. Anderson, as founding co-chair of the John, Jesus, and History Project (SBL, now in its ninth year), is calling for a fourth quest for Jesus \u00e2\u20ac\u201c one that includes John in the mix.<\/p>\n<p>Borg is a biblical scholar and author.
