And writing skills make your students more employable. But the key is for them to practice writing as often as possible over the entirety of their college education. You don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need to be an expert in writing to assign writing in your course and help students.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsored by the Academic Resource Center and the Department of English,\u00c2\u00a0a faculty development series, &#8220;Integrating Writing in the Classroom,&#8221; offers workshops for creating effective writing assignments in any course and training in best practices for responding and grading students&#8217; writing.
