{"id":58986,"date":"2018-12-30T16:58:26","date_gmt":"2018-12-31T00:58:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/?p=58986"},"modified":"2018-12-17T16:58:32","modified_gmt":"2018-12-18T00:58:32","slug":"please-take-note-end-year-giving-reminders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/2018\/12\/30\/please-take-note-end-year-giving-reminders\/","title":{"rendered":"Please take note of these end-of-year giving reminders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>University Advancement\u00c2\u00a0is closed\u00c2\u00a0through tomorrow (<strong>Tuesday, Jan. 1<\/strong>).\u00c2\u00a0As you contemplate any calendar-year-end gifts or engage with others who might be contemplating a year-end gift, please take note of the following dates.<\/p>\n<p>To make a 2018 tax-deductible donation \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Checks and cash\u00c2\u00a0must be\u00c2\u00a0postmarked on or before Dec. 31.<\/li>\n<li>Credit card\u00c2\u00a0gifts made at\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.giving.georgefox.edu\">giving.georgefox.edu<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0must be\u00c2\u00a0submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31.<\/li>\n<li>Mutual funds, stocks or securities\u00c2\u00a0must be\u00c2\u00a0received by Dec. 31.\u00c2\u00a0<strong>Note<\/strong>: Each brokerage firm has a different timeframe to process transactions; please consult with your broker and initiate any transfers well in advance of the end of the year to receive a 2018 tax deduction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please double-check your offices and desks to ensure all donations are delivered in a timely manner so as to honor the generosity of our donors.
