Eppen<\/strong>, physical therapist and clinical specialist at the University of Iowa,\u00c2\u00a0tonight (<strong>Thursday<\/strong>)\u00c2\u00a0in Canyon Commons 101 from\u00c2\u00a0<strong>6:30 to 8 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Eppen will present the topic \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Exercise Prescription in Chronic Disease.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d The primary objectives for this lecture are to identify the relationship between inactivity and chronic disease, discuss physical activity guidelines for \u00e2\u20ac\u0153general health benefits,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and discuss the role of physicians and other healthcare providers in assessing and prescribing physical activity\/exercise for prevention and\/or management of chronic disease.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone is encouraged to attend this free event.
