The tax is one-tenth of one percent (.001) \u00e2\u20ac\u201d or $1 per $1,000. Your employer will be automatically withholding the tax \u00e2\u20ac\u201c just like the personal income tax \u00e2\u20ac\u201c so you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have to do or change anything. Unlike the personal income tax, there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s no withholding exemption for this tax.<\/p>\n<p>Revenue from the statewide transit tax will go to expanding public transportation throughout Oregon.
