{"id":5250,"date":"2010-02-15T07:37:35","date_gmt":"2010-02-15T15:37:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/?p=5250"},"modified":"2010-02-15T07:41:32","modified_gmt":"2010-02-15T15:41:32","slug":"faculty-teaching-forum-focuses-on-promoting-student-success-feb-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/2010\/02\/15\/faculty-teaching-forum-focuses-on-promoting-student-success-feb-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty Teaching Forum focuses on promoting student success Feb. 18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Faculty Teaching Forum, entitled &#8220;Helping all students be successful,&#8221; will be presented from <strong>noon to 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18<\/strong>, in <strong>Cap and Gown Room A<\/strong>. <strong>Joel Perez<\/strong> (Dean of Transitions and Inclusion) will present information on helping faculty think through how they can design their classes and how they interact with their students to assist all students in being successful.<\/p>\n<p>To reserve a lunch, e-mail <strong>Jere Witherspoon<\/strong> (<a href=\"mailto:jwithers@georgefox.edu\">jwithers@georgefox.edu<\/a>) by 1:30 p.m. on the Tuesday before the event. Everyone is welcome to attend the session, whether bringing a lunch or reserving a lunch.<\/p>\n<p>All faculty \u00e2\u20ac\u201d full time, part time, and adjunct \u00e2\u20ac\u201d are invited to attend Faculty Teaching Forums (FTFs). The schedule of upcoming sessions is <a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/2010FTF-Spring\">available online<\/a>.
