The Graduate Department of Counseling announces the opening of the Portland Center for Counseling and Family Therapy. This community counseling center serves as the practicum\/internship clinic for students in the GDC.<\/p>\n
The center is administrated by a GDC faculty member and staffed by a professional counselor and advanced graduate students who are supervised by faculty trained in individual, marital, and family therapy. The center is now accepting individuals, couples, and families.<\/p>\n
Any referrals would be appreciated. If you would like a packet of information, including business cards or brochures, they can be delivered to you at the Salem, Portland, or Newberg campuses. They are to be offered to any individuals you think may be in need of mental health services, including those who suffer from anxiety, depression, grief or loss, significant stress, abuse, or other concerns.<\/p>\n
As a community counseling center, it is important that these services be accessible to the broadest population possible. Therefore, the center offers a sliding per-session fee schedule ranging from $15 to $75.<\/p>\n
If you would like to visit the new clinic, tours are available by appointment between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in September. Also feel free to call (ext. 6060) with any questions about services or referrals.
