He has explored how birds disperse mistletoe seeds, why hummingbirds can digest table sugar but robins cannot, and why variable temperatures make hawkmoths uncertain pollinators.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, he&#8217;s studied stable isotopes to find out how much white-winged doves depend on saguaros and why there are so few marine songbirds. The title of his presentation is &#8220;From isotopes to adaptive radiations: A cyborg&#8217;s perspective.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This lecture is open to the university community and the public.
