In an effort to streamline the employment process for new student employees, Employee Empowerment is announcing the following new process for the Newberg campus student employees.<\/p>\n

Student supervisors, when employment is offered to a student employee on the Newberg campus, please take the following steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Generate an offer letter in the timekeeping system<\/li>\n
  2. Send the new student worker to Employee Empowerment for orientation during business hours, BEFORE their first shift. Ensure the student brings acceptable ID for their I9 form and documentation from their bank if they plan to enroll in direct deposit.<\/li>\n
  3. Employee Empowerment will assist the student in accepting their offer letter.<\/li>\n
  4. Employee Empowerment will fill out the W4, I9 and Direct Deposit paperwork with the student.<\/li>\n
  5. Employee Empowerment will provide an overview of the timekeeping system.<\/li>\n
  6. Employee Empowerment will provide an overview of resources for student employees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After a student has completed student employee orientation at Employee Empowerment, they may begin working their shifts in your department.<\/p>\n
