The lecture runs from\u00c2\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1652984511\">6 to 7 p.m.<\/span>\u00c2\u00a0in Hoover 105. Hamilton will discuss the recent eclipse and how this rare sight illustrates the sun&#8217;s intricate and dynamic role in shaping the larger, unseen environment of the earth. The sun shapes both the solar wind and the magnetic field which encompass our entire solar system. Highlights from research conducted by and with students at George Fox will be presented using graphics and animations.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the lecture that evening, the 2017 Fall Richter Student Scholars Symposium will be held from\u00c2\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1652984512\">5 to 6 p.m.<\/span>\u00c2\u00a0in the Hoover lobby. Student scholars from\u00c2\u00a0the university&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0graduate and undergraduate programs will present their research in a conversational poster format.
