Jones<\/strong> (Communication Arts) published a journal article titled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Religious Rhetoric of Barack Obama: Courting the Faith Based Voter\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the January 2010 edition of <em>Pop Culture and Faith<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0The article explores the rhetorical strategies employed by Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign designed to attract more faith-based voters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ed Higgins\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/strong> (English) poem, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153swimming mallards,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d appears in the current issue of <em>Haiku Reality<\/em>, a Serbian-English haiku journal. Ed also had his poem \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Eve\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Tale\u00e2\u20ac\u009d appear in the Winter 2009 edition of <em>Modern Haibun &amp; Tanka Prose<\/em> magazine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kenn Willson<\/strong> (Performing Arts) will perform in concert at the First Presbyterian Church in Portland at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24. Willson will present \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Encounters with Beethoven,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d a multi-media piano recital with slides and personal insights into Beethoven.
