Admission is free.<\/p>\n<p>The Spring Concert will feature performances by the university&#8217;s choirs, Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Band. Among the selections to be performed by the choirs are <em>All That Hath Life &amp; Breath Praise Ye the Lord<\/em>, <em>How Can I Keep from Singing?<\/em> and <em>Senex Puerum Portabat<\/em>. The song <em>How Can I Keep from Singing?<\/em> is a new arrangement by <strong>Brent Wilson<\/strong> in honor of the university&#8217;s 125th anniversary celebration.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Symphony Orchestra will perform <em>The Lark Ascending<\/em>, featuring violinist <strong>Alex Hastings<\/strong>, one of the winners of the 2017 George Fox University Concerto Aria Competition; the Symphonic Band will present <em>Celebration Fanfare<\/em> and <em>A Savannah Symphony No. 2<\/em>; and both the choirs and orchestra will team up to perform <em>Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor<\/em>, featuring baritone <strong>David Eby<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Other featured performers include <strong>Natalie Marquette<\/strong> (soprano), <strong>Malia Hansen<\/strong> (soprano), <strong>Laura Boles<\/strong> (mezzo-soprano), <strong>Jess Minson<\/strong> (tenor), <strong>Jacob Yoakum<\/strong> (tenor), <strong>Aliyah Jackson<\/strong>, <strong>Shannon Tabbal<\/strong> and <strong>Richard Elliott<\/strong> (trumpet), <strong>Emily Klockner <\/strong>(horn), <strong>Clark Ellis<\/strong> and <strong>Kathryn McClintock<\/strong> (trombone), <strong>Tim Ray<\/strong> (bass trombone) and <strong>Daniel Rohwedder<\/strong> (tuba).<\/p>\n<p>Contact <strong>Debbie Hawblitzel<\/strong> (<a href=\"mailto:dhawblit@georgefox.edu\">dhawblit@georgefox.edu<\/a>) with any questions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The music department welcomes the university community to its final concert of the semester tonight (Friday) at 7:30 p.m. in Bauman Auditorium.
