The university\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s music department has scheduled a series of concerts in the next two weeks highlighting student musicians in both vocal and symphonic performances. All events are free and open to the public, and each will take place in Bauman Auditorium.<\/p>\n
Winter Choir Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n This Saturday, March 4<\/strong>, the school\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, and Women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Chorale will perform at 7:30 p.m.<\/strong> The Chamber Choir will perform Brahms\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 O Sch\u00c3\u00b6ne Nacht\u00c2\u00a0Op. 92 No. 1<\/em> and Neckereien Op. 31 No. 2<\/em>, as well as Richard Hundley\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Come Ready and See Me<\/em> and Kirke Mechem\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s The Lighthearted Lovers<\/em>.<\/p>\n The Women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Chorale, meanwhile, will perform I will Be Earth<\/em> by Gwyneth Walker, Dance on My Heart<\/em> by Allen Koepke, and Heart, We Will Forget Him!<\/em> by James Mulholland. The final piece features Everett Isabell<\/strong> on French horn.<\/p>\n Concert Choir pieces will include With a Lily in Your Hand<\/em> by Eric Whitacre, Afternoon on a Hill<\/em> by Eric Barnum, and Les Chansons des Roses<\/em> and O Magnum Mysterium<\/em> by Morten Lauridsen.<\/p>\n Symphony Orchestra Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n On Tuesday, March 7<\/strong>, a Symphony Orchestra Concert is set for 7:30 p.m.<\/strong> The itinerary includes Poem Symphonique for Flute and Orchestra, Op. 43a<\/em> by Peter Benoit; Movement 1 Will-o\u00e2\u20ac\u2122-the-Wisps<\/em>, featuring Lauren Timmons<\/strong> on flute; La Traviata from Addio del Passato<\/em> by Giuseppe Verdi, featuring soprano Malia Hansen<\/strong>; and Scheherazade<\/em> by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, featuring Simeon Brown<\/strong> on violin. Timmons and Hansen were winners of the 2017 George Fox University Concerto Competition.<\/p>\n Symphonic Band Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n Finally, a Symphonic Band Concert is set for a 7:30 p.m.<\/strong> start on Tuesday, March 14<\/strong>.
