Lewis and Dorothy L. Sayers.&#8221; Gary presented the paper at the C.S. Lewis and Friends Conference at Taylor University June 2-5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ed Higgins<\/strong> (English) published a flash fiction, piece, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Kansas Return,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the June 10, 2016, issue of <em>Danse Macabre<\/em>, an online literary magazine. He also published his poem \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Seascape\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the online magazine <em>Plum Tree Tavern<\/em> (May 4, 2016), and his article \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Quaker Trek: Friends in Contemporary American Science Fiction\u00e2\u20ac\u009d appeared in the April 2016 issue of <em>Quaker Higher Education<\/em>, a publication of the Friends Association for Higher Education. Ed also published three of his Japanese short-form poems \u00e2\u20ac\u201c \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Tonight\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Half-Moon,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153agonized youth\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s rapture\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153spilled wine glass\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u201c in the Spring 2016 issue of <em>The Bamboo Hut Journal of English Language Tanshi<\/em>. Finally, Ed\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s poem \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Jalapenos\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is part of an installation titled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153EAT Literature + Photography\u00e2\u20ac\u009d showing through December at Centre College\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Norton Center For The Arts. The installation pairs works by 13 different poets with interpretative photography by noted Kentucky photographer Sarah Jane Sanders. The full photographs and poems exhibit is on display in the Norton Center\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Grand Foyer.<\/p>\n<p>The third central volume among the six in the John, Jesus, and History Project, coedited by <strong>Paul Anderson<\/strong> (Christian studies), Felix Just, S.J., and Tom Thatcher, was released this month. Published by the Society of Biblical Literature, <em>John, Jesus, and History, Volume 3: Glimpses of Jesus through the Johannine Lens<\/em> demonstrates more than two dozen ways in which John contributes to an enhanced understanding of Jesus and his ministry.
