If you’ve ever wanted to be in a parade (and get a free George Fox T-shirt), this is your opportunity.<\/p>\n

George Fox has been asked to provide the grand marshal for this summer’s Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Parade. It’s the start of our 125th year, and we want to recognize the people who have helped us get this far… our employees and students. This is your invitation to be one of the grand marshals for the parade.<\/p>\n

Here are the details:<\/p>\n

Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Grand Festival Parade<\/strong>
\n Saturday, July 30<\/strong>
\n 9-11 a.m.<\/strong>
\n Meet at Newberg’s Rennie Field (Blaine and 6th)<\/strong><\/p>\n

We’re assembling a group of employees, students, parents and alumni to walk and hand out candy. It’ll probably take less than 20 minutes of walking. Some spots will be available for riding and waving. We’ll also have the Bruin bus, Professor Ed Higgins’ 1934 Ford flatbed truck, the Bruin bear (“Pennington”) and the Victory Bell.<\/p>\n
