Grants can be incredibly time-consuming (especially federal grants). Explore potential funders, record deadlines, and carefully consider your program or research needs. If you want help identifying a funder, don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t hesitate to contact the Office of Advancement; it\u00c2\u00a0has access to a foundations database.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Most important step: <\/strong>Once you know which grant you want to pursue and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve discussed it with your dean, you must fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/georgefox.edu\/forms\/d\/1LrGzzc0UN1hNCC21sAs-xIveRFdblN7tcpD9F0btzkg\/viewform?c=0&amp;w=1\">Grant Proposal Approval Form<\/a><strong>\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>(located on the PeopleSoft homepage). All employees pursuing a grant must adhere to this process. Beyond your dean, the advancement office will facilitate all approvals on your behalf.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why?<\/strong> Going through this process ensures staff and faculty don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t compete for the same grant, we dedicate faculty and administrator time to the highest priorities, and we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t sign any grant paperwork that obligates George Fox to something unexpected. Depending on time and resources, the advancement office will typically provide helpful feedback on the proposal, facilitate the submission process, and help you with reporting back to the funder. The Office of Advancement also processes all money and contracts in partnership with other offices.<\/p>\n<p>We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re your partner in the grant process!
