Weather forecasters with Portland’s news agencies<\/a> are recommending that people use extra caution as they travel in the state.<\/p>\n

The Columbia Gorge is expecting snow and freezing rain, and the Cascades and Central and Eastern Oregon are expecting both heavy snow and possibly freezing rain. Western Oregon is expected to get another 1 to 3 inches of rain, with more flooding and landslides possible. Chains will likely be required in the mountains.<\/p>\n

If possible, it is recommended by weather forecasters that you delay your trip until Saturday.<\/p>\n

Please make sure you have emergency supplies in your car before you leave, and please drive with caution so that you will make it safely to your destination.<\/p>\n
