In celebration of Pope Francis’ visit to America, George Fox will host a series of special sessions to discuss the artwork of The Saint John’s Bible <\/em>this week. Organized by leaders of the Saint John\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s University and Abby in Minnesota, seven pieces of art, selected among the 160 in its seven volumes, will be discussed and expanded upon each day. In all, more than 40 universities, churches and organizations nationwide are participating in the project.<\/p>\n

At George Fox, the public is invited to attend each session at noon<\/strong> in the MLRC<\/strong>. Christian studies professor Paul Anderson<\/strong> has written up essays to accompany each painting, and an essay for each has been contributed by the Saint John\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s community. The weekday sessions culminate with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Turning of the Page\u00e2\u20ac\u009d viewing of Volume 6: The Gospels and Acts <\/em>on Friday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
