In January 2016<\/strong>, selected George Fox students\u00c2\u00a0will travel to the Sundance Film Festival<\/strong> in Park City, Utah<\/strong>. The Sundance festival is widely regarded as the most prestigious annual showcase for new work from American and international independent filmmakers. Alongside the Sundance Festival, George Fox students will also be attending the Windrider Forum<\/a>, a venue for conversations about the intersections of faith and film.<\/p>\n

We will be attending them during the final week of January. Attending students will be required to notify professors in advance of anticipated absences and create appropriate academic work plans. Personal costs for students will most likely range from $600 to $700 (not including food and incidentals).<\/span><\/p>\n

You do not need to be a CMCO or COMM major to attend. Applications from all full-time George Fox undergraduate students will be considered.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the Spring 2016 semester, CMCO 285\/485<\/strong>, a selected topics course, will be offered<\/strong> on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Independent Cinema,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and will connect to the Sundance trip experience. Students will have the option of registering for this course to receive credit connected to the Sundance and later semester experiences. However registration in the course<\/strong> is not required<\/strong> for Sundance attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n
