Packer Professor of Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, at <strong>4:30 p.m.<\/strong> this <strong>Friday, Feb. 6<\/strong>, in <strong>Hoover 105<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The free presentation is entitled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Why We Need an \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcOther\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Reading: Or, Why We Ourselves Are the Ones Taking the Exodus Journey,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in which he will offer a defense of allegory as a method for biblical interpretation, following early Christian authors such as Melito, Origen and Gregory of Nyssa. The talk is aimed at both scholarly and popular audiences who are interested in biblical interpretation and the history of Christian thought more generally.<\/p>\n<p>Boersma has been at Regent since 2005 and taught for six years previously at Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia (1999\u00e2\u20ac\u201c2005). He has also served as a pastor for several years (1994-1998) and is the author of several books.<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
