Lewis expert speaks on campus Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Ward, PhD, professor of apologetics at Houston Baptist University and director of the C.S. Lewis Centre in Oxford, England, will visit the Newberg campus to present a lecture, &#8220;The Heavens are Telling the Glory of God: C.S. Lewis, Narnia and the Planets,&#8221; at <strong>7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday)<\/strong>, in <strong>Bauman Auditorium<\/strong>. There is no charge to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Ward is a leading expert on the works of C.S. Lewis and the author of <em>Planet Narnia: The Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C.S. Lewis<\/em>. He is senior research fellow at Blackfriars Hall in the University of Oxford and co-editor of <em>The Cambridge Companion to C.S. Lewis<\/em>. He presented the BBC television documentary, <em>The Narnia Code<\/em> (2009). As an Anglican clergyman, he served as chaplain of St Peter\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s College at the University of Oxford from 2009 to 2012 and as chaplain of Peterhouse at the University of Cambridge from 2004 to 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture is sponsored by the William Penn Honors Program.
