George Fox and Willamette University are co-hosting a two-night debate on the topic \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Did America Have a Christian Founding\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on successive Thursday evenings in September. Both events are free.<\/p>\n
The debate will feature Mark David Hall<\/strong>, the Herbert Hoover Distinguished Professor of Politics at George Fox, and Steven K. Green<\/strong>, a professor in Willamette University\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s School of Law. They are among the nation\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leading experts on the relationship between church and state in America.<\/p>\n The opening debate is scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m.<\/strong> on Thursday, Sept. 18<\/strong>, in Hoover 105. The second session is set from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in Room 121 of Willamette\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s School of Law, 245 Winter St., in Salem, Ore.
