Recently a disastrous typhoon, Haiyan, hit the Philippines, causing at least 5,000 deaths, thousands of homes destroyed, and leaving tens of thousands homeless. As the children of God, we would like to raise awareness of this unfortunate event and offer up prayers for the people of this country.<\/p>\n

In addition, the International Club would like to invite you to our fundraiser for the Philippines. We will be at the Bruin Den<\/strong> from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.<\/strong> on Monday, Dec. 2<\/strong>, selling bubble tea and homemade strudels.<\/p>\n

Also, on Wednesday, Dec. 4<\/strong>, we’re selling artworks and Chinese calligraphy donated by our very own George Fox students. All proceeds and donations will be going to the Red Cross in the Philippines.<\/p>\n
