In an effort to assist with the medical expenses for George Fox softball coach Jessica Hollen<\/strong>, whose father was recently diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, and her family, the Bruin softball team has organized a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Home Run Derby\u00e2\u20ac\u009d fundraiser on Sunday, April 28<\/strong>, from noon to 6 p.m.<\/strong> at the Morse Softball Field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Bruin outfielder Rachel Sundquist, one of the event organizers, explained, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153This year has been a rough one for our team and our coaching staff since Coach Hollen received the terrible news in regard to her father\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s health. In response, our team is coming together as a family to put together this fundraiser. We are a team, we are a family, and we feel like this is how we can help out our coach and support her family.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n As a side note, Pacific Lutheran University is joining us in this effort, as their softball team is holding the same event on their softball field.
