That brings to five the mounted AEDs on campus (second floor of EHS, SUB, main floor Murchison, in the physical therapy department of VAC and in the Le Shana lobby.) Two were provided by students, one by the Parents\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Council, one by PT and one by athletics.<\/p>\n<p>If you hear a sustained alarm coming from an open case, please call 911. The cases are not hardwired into our emergency systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One of the local fire chiefs we work with made the following comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Oregon has an AED law in effect. The law lists organizations\/agencies that are exempt. Interestingly enough, I have noticed it has been the &#8216;exempt&#8217; organizations, like GFU, that are setting the best example of the importance of AEDs for public access.
