\nDear George Fox University Community<\/strong>
\n\u00c2\u00a0
\n\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 This summer two serve teams from our school will be traveling overseas to learn, serve, and love people who have different languages, cultures, views, and faiths. The first team will be leaving in May to travel to Brazil.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong> They will have the opportunity to serve in different areas of Brazil, including a camp in Londrina, working with street children in Sao Paolo, and serving in a small fishing community.\u00c2\u00a0 The second team is leaving in June for India.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong> They will get to learn and be involved with various NGOs who are working to bring justice to the impoverished in India, learn about organizations rescuing women and children out of the sex trade, and work in the Mother Teresa’ homes in Calcutta.\u00c2\u00a0
\n\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0
\n\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 These teams are working hard fundraising to cover the vast expenses of these trips.\u00c2\u00a0 Part of their efforts include the continuation of the annual May Serve garage sale.\u00c2\u00a0 The garage sale will be held on March 17th, hopefully in the EHS parking lot if the weather permits.\u00c2\u00a0 The teams will be actively accepting donations for this garage sale until March 15th.\u00c2\u00a0 If you have any items in your house, sitting in storage, or have the desire to donate to this cause, we would greatly appreciate it.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
