{"id":11975,"date":"2011-10-20T14:27:50","date_gmt":"2011-10-20T22:27:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/?p=11975"},"modified":"2011-10-20T14:27:50","modified_gmt":"2011-10-20T22:27:50","slug":"diane-randall-speaks-on-campus-friday-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/ennounce\/2011\/10\/20\/diane-randall-speaks-on-campus-friday-night\/","title":{"rendered":"Diane Randall speaks on campus Friday night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The university community is invited to hear <strong>Diane Randall<\/strong>, executive secretary of the Friends Committee on National Legislation \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the largest team of registered peace lobbyists in Washington, D.C. \u00e2\u20ac\u201c present a free lecture from <strong>7 to 8 p.m. tonight (Friday)<\/strong> in <strong>EHS 102<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Randall will speak on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Privilege and Responsibility of Faithful Citizenship.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Her visit is being sponsored by George Fox\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Center for Peace and Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Randall\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s background includes many years as an executive director of statewide advocacy organizations, a passion for rebuilding the democratic system in our country, a record of achievements in lobbying and citizen engagement, and a spiritual grounding in the Religious Society of Friends.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her evening presentation, Randall will lecture in an 11:40 a.m. political science class in Hoover 103 and again at 1:40 p.m. in a philosophy class in Stevens 209.
