If in doubt, it is better to submit a report than miss the opportunity to support the student effectively!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Criteria for submitting an accident or injury report include, but are not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Injury beyond a minor bump or scrape<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Injury involving blood<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Head trauma or concussion<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Chemical exposure<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Loss of consciousness<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Heat-related issues<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Any accident or injury involving a call to 911, an ambulance, or Campus Public Safety<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Critical injury<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"m_1093490044494808781m_-4148054451098818423m_-6684522873646331469m_1236954070020407315gmail-docs-internal-guid-ff547a3b-7fff-a194-2620-555adbd09b08\">Death<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When a student is injured and if you are a trained first aid\/CPR provider, please offer assistance; however, everyone needs to follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Dial or have someone dial 911. Give the location of the injured student and send someone to meet them at the door(s) for the building.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Dial or have someone dial Campus Public Safety (503-554-2090).<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Send someone to get the closest first aid kit and the AED. All buildings with hearts have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgefox.edu\/maps_locations\/campus-map.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.georgefox.edu\/maps_locations\/campus-map.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1790117823470000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2widOiMShtoQO6T3rRZQWj\"><span aria-invalid=\"spelling\">AEDs<\/span> or first aid<\/a> kits available.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">Follow first aid and CPR training until Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue arrives.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you wish to become a trained first aid\/ CPR provider, reach out to Kim Knoernschild at <a href=\"mailto:kknorschild@georgefox.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kknorschild@georgefox.edu<\/a>.
