The cameras target motorists running red lights or traveling more than 11 mph over the 35 mph speed limit.<\/p>\n<p>Data is transferred digitally to the Newberg-Dundee Police Department, where officers manually review and verify all potential offenses before a citation is issued. Red light violations carry a $285 fine, while speeding fines range from $165 to $440.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative is part of a plan to reduce crashes along Highway 99W. While five intersections were originally identified as high-risk, the Villa Road location remains the first to implement the technology.<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
