Virtual Learning Center consultants are current adult degree-completion and graduate students who work 10 hours per week, meeting with students via Zoom or asynchronously.<\/p>\n<p>Writing consultant duties include helping students with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thinking through ideas for a writing assignment<\/li>\n<li>Considering writing choices with regard to audience, focus, purpose, cohesion, and organization<\/li>\n<li>Developing ideas with specific evidence<\/li>\n<li>Improving research strategies<\/li>\n<li>Applying proper documentation and formatting<\/li>\n<li>Understanding basic grammar and mechanics<\/li>\n<li>Academic coaching: time management and learning strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/app.joinhandshake.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Handshake<\/strong><\/a> to find the virtual learning consultant application.
