Learn how to crush an internship at special event Monday

So you landed a great internship or job. Now, what can you do to really CRUSH it? This Monday, Dec. 3, at noon in Canyon Commons 103, join COMM alumnus Daniel Rude, director of human resources at The Allison, for tips on how to be a rock star intern or employee.

The Allison is Oregon’s only five-star resort, and Daniel does all the hiring, firing and training.

Eat tacos on Tuesday and help support PT’s trip to Africa

George Fox University’s Department of Physical Therapy is going to Ghana and Uganda in June 2019 to serve various communities with education and physical therapy.

In an effort to lower our trip expenses, Taqueria Kopitos will be donating a percentage of their sales to our mission on Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Please come to support us!

Stop by photo booth in the Bruin Den this Wednesday

On Wednesday, Dec. 5, the Photography Club will be hosting a photo booth from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Bruin Den.

The theme will be a surprise, and props will be provided. All are welcome to come get their pictures taken, individually or with friends (bring as many as you like). This will be drop-in style, so come anytime from 3 to 7 p.m.! We look forward to seeing you there.

We also welcome student photographers who would like to help take photos.

FoxTALE will be upgraded during the Christmas break and unavailable for an extended time from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, to 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28. We realize this is longer than usual and apologize for any inconvenience but hope you will be enjoying the holidays.

We also want to remind you that after the upgrade you will view past course sites (prior to 2016 Fall) on the FoxTALE-Archive site. Institutional Technology will move the oldest course sites in batches over the next few weeks until all course sites previous to 2016 Fall are moved to the Archive. We anticipate this work will be completed the week of Dec. 24.

Join in celebrating Christmas together this afternoon

Diaper Drive in the Bruin Den extended through Dec. 7

The Diaper Drive is being extended until the end of next week. The Students for Life Club will take all donated diapers to the Pregnancy Resource and Counseling Center right here in Newberg on Dec. 7.

The donation box is in the Bruin Den. Please drop off any diapers that you would be willing to donate to parents in need during this holiday season.

Make plans to attend ‘Women’s DiversiTEA’ event Monday

You are invited to the second-ever Women’s DiversiTEA from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, in Canyon Commons 101-102.

This tea is designed to be an opportunity for staff, administration and faculty women of color to share their story. Joining us will be Aida Ramos, Jenny Elsey, Rebecca Yazzie, Tai Harden-Moore and Patrice Brown. Although this event is centered around the experiences of women of color, all women are invited!
