A Day in the Life of Pennington

Off

Penn Pals

Pennington is the most loyal Penn pal you’ll ever meet! Being a mascot is tough work, but Penn’s favorite part of the day is answering emails and letters from his biggest (little) fans… Junior Bruins!

Working Out

Cheering on our Bruins not only takes heart, but incredibly stamina, speed, and agility! Whether it’s by the court, on the field, in the stands, or representing GFU in a local parade, Pennington has to keep fit. This bear can usually burn some calories while searching for hugs and fresh honey, but to be the George Fox mascot, Pennington’s workout regiment has gotta be tough. Luckily, he’s got plenty of strong Bruin athletes to help him keep fit for the job as a workout buddy or even a personal trainer!

Dusting off Trophies

After admiring George Fox’s Division III trophies in Wheeler, Pennington loves to dust them until they shine. As a humble and hardworking bear, Penn tries not to brag too much about how great it is to be a Bruin, but most of the time he just can’t help himself! Especially when rival school students or a certain Pirate comes to visit campus.

Reading the Crescent and Stack of Le Amies

The perfect mascot is involved on campus. Although Pennington can’t be everywhere at once, he checks in on his friends by reading The Crescent magazine, and the Le Amie’s yearbook.
