Newberg Friends Church to host Thanksgiving service on George Fox campus

NEWBERG, Ore. – Newberg Friends Church will host a Thanksgiving service in Bauman Auditorium on the George Fox University Newberg campus at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22.
At 9:30 a.m., before the service, there will be a baked-goods auction to raise money for the Women’s Bible Fellowship, an opportunity for photos for the church directory, and a thankful-expressions poster. Coffee and fresh-pressed apple juice will also be available. Worship during the service will be provided by the worship ensemble and Young Friends Singers.
Newberg Friends Church began in the 1870s as Quakers migrated west. The Newberg Friends Church has been integral in establishing Newberg as a community and creating what has become George Fox University.
