Kindle DX

The link below is to Amazon’s page for the Kindle DX. I find the price
outrageous. Having said that, I took the full five minutes and watched this video from Amazon (scroll down to find). It’s pretty amazing. This device is a trending topic on Google and Twitter. There are zillions of blog posts and news articles on this. Many talk about the implications for newspapers and textbooks.

This NYTimes post of the live event is humorous and informative.  Note the part on textbooks and universities.

I’d be interested in your thoughts on this device.

I would be very interested in the device if George Fox offered a student discount- maybe partner up with Kindle as it did with Apple? If students could access their required textbooks on there while paying a fraction of the price, that would be every student’s dream!!
