American Society of Mechanical Engineers

American Society of Mechanical Engineers

Our mission is to provide a collective base for students of varying classes to interact with each other, and industry leaders for furthering interest and abilities in engineering both academically and professionally. We sponsor a number of activities and events each semester and offer a way for students to come together and collaborate on projects of their own design outside of the classroom.

Black Student Union

The mission of BSU is to create space for Black culture on campus. We will do this through discussion, events, and guest speakers.

Car Club

The mission of the GFU Car Club is to promote the sport and hobby of owning, preserving, altering, building, and modifying vehicles of all makes, models, and eras; and to encourage young adult participation in the hobby, so as to promote friendship, support the local community, and educate those in the George Fox community interested in the history, repair, building, and modifying of all vehicles.

The Chamber Orchestra Club is a music club on campus that allows students to share and practice their talents. 

Coast to Coast Swing Club

Coast to Coast Swing strives to maintain a fun and inviting atmosphere by bringing swing dancing to the George Fox community. Our goal is to provide a reprieve from everyday life while fostering positive relationships within our student body.

College Republican Club

Our mission is to cultivate political education, activism, and community for students interested in law, government, or politics.

Delight

Delight seeks to establish a college women’s community that grows together, serves together, learns together, and does life together while chasing the heart of God. Delight is intentional about learning from one another through stories and experiences while potentially discovering or continuing to grow in relationships with Christ.

Disc Golf Club

Fellowship of Christian Athletes 

To present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

Fencing Club

We strive to provide a relaxed environment for everyone to learn the basics of fencing; encouraging friendly competition while getting some weekly exercise without going to the gym.

French Club

To cultivate and promote interest in French culture by hosting activities rooted in Francophone traditions, cuisine, and history for students of every major and background.

Fusion Asian American Club 

Fusion aims to cultivate an inclusive and authentic environment where students of diverse multicultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds can develop, embrace, and express cultural identity in order to affirmatively impact the greater George Fox University community.

Latino Heritage Club

The Latino Heritage club seeks to foster a diverse environment on campus and to create awareness regarding the Latino culture. The club initiates discussions regarding issues of race and identity and creates a safe space for students of various races and backgrounds to meet. The group celebrates the diversity of the human experience.

League of Legends Club

This a club where students can come together and play and talk about games. League of Legends is the main focus, but many other games are played as well.

George Fox University Ambassadors

George Fox University Ambassadors is composed of a servant-minded group of students who love to share their university with prospective students. Ambassadors work under admissions to represent George Fox and it’s mission to visitors on a weekly basis, showing their love for God in the process.

Hawaiian Club

The purpose of Hawaii Club is to perpetuate the spirit of Aloha at George Fox University by establishing a warm and supportive environment for its members.

International Organization

The purpose of International Organization is to provide opportunities, such as events and activities, for students both domestic and international to come together and develop relationships while also learning about other cultures in order to reinforce the idea of a global village.

Mu Kappa

The purpose of our club is to create an open space for people from multiple cultural backgrounds to express themselves and their ‘third culture’ fully, connect with each other on a deeper level, educate others, and advocate for third culture kids on campus and globally.

Nursing Club

The nursing club aims to provide its members with the opportunity to identify with the nursing profession and to foster intellectual, educational, spiritual, and social activities related to the profession of nursing. Additionally, Nursing club provides an atmosphere that allows for students from varying levels within the school of nursing to interact and form a broader sense of community and begin to network outside of the confines of their class.

Odyssey Club

 Odyssey democratizes the way stories are told online.  Our Mission: Engage the Conversation with thoughtful and creative writing GFU Odyssey listens to, challenges, and forms our community on both micro and macro levels.  GFU Odyssey integrally helps to provide a format for communication and discussion with our community. We promote and encourage the voices and opinions of our community to be heard.

Outdoors Club

Our mission is to familiarize students with the environment around them by going outside. We want them to be able to see the beauty of nature that is in Oregon. We also hope to create opportunities to serve and care for the environment.

Pre-Physical Therapy Club

The Pre-Physical Therapy Club seeks to unite exercise science and other pre-PT students at the university to provide information about graduate programs, homework help, and networking with local physical therapists.

Psychology Club

We aim to provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment to practice indoor rock climbing, both for beginners and those with years of experience.

We aim to foster discussion and spark deeper thinking about how scientific investigation of the world interacts with faith.

Ski and Snowboard Club

The George Fox University Ski and Snowboard club is designed to allow riders of all skill levels to connect. We believe that what we do is something that should be a shared activity, we achieve this through ski club by hosting set days where the club gets together and goes to the mountain.

Social Work Club

Society of Women Engineers

The GFU SWE Club has a two-fold focus. We want to create unity within the female engineering students at George Fox University by encouraging questions and community, as well as provide both external and internal opportunities to observe professional engineering and post-undergraduate options.

The mission of GFU Students for Life is to establish an active pro-life culture among the students of our community by educating our peers on life and by actively promoting the right to life for all people.

The Write Way

Our goal is to improve and grow as writers by welcoming the constructive criticism of others. Having said that, we must always remember that we are criticizing something that was made by someone made in the image of God, and we should always treat it as such.

Turning Point USA

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) is a conservative political activism organization that gives students on campuses across the country the opportunity to promote the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets.  TPUSA is the largest and fastest growing youth organization in America with a presence on over 1,000 campuses.

Ultimate Frisbee Club

This club is a place where students can come together and compete with one another in ultimate Frisbee. Occasionally, the GFU club competes with clubs from other local colleges as well.

Veterans United Association

Connecting veterans and their families through fellowship, service, and recreation.

Volleyball Club

A fun and relaxed Christian environment for people of all skill levels to come play some volleyball.

Young Life

Creating community through living life with one another and integrating faith into our everyday lives. We are imperfect people who want to walk through life with people by our sides who know and understand our strengths and struggles. We are intentional about building our relationships with each other and our God.
