George Fox University’s Center for Peace and Justice invites you to the 2017 John Woolman Peacemaking Forum on Monday and Tuesday, March 20-21. Our theme this year is “Peace: Personal and Global.”

This year, we welcome guest speaker Michelle Loyd-Paige, PhD, a professor of sociology and executive associate to the president for diversity and inclusion at Calvin College.

Here is the schedule:

Join us as Loyd-Paige speaks about doing kingdom work in “Peacemaking: More Than Good Intentions.” This event is open to the public, and we encourage you to invite friends and family!

Tuesday, March 21, 10:50 a.m. (chapel), Bauman Auditorium
Students and employees are invited to chapel as Loyd-Paige discusses how embracing cultural differences can enrich our worship in “A Bigger Hospitality.”

Tuesday, March 21, 11:30 a.m –1:30 p.m., Canyon Commons 103
After chapel, students are encouraged to stop by the Peacemaking Connections Expo and check out current job and internship opportunities available with various nonprofit peacemaking and service organizations!

We hope you will join us for this exciting two-day event as we focus on putting the work of peace into practice. Refreshments will be provided by the Center for Peace and Justice.
