Mohan Nair discusses impact of artificial intelligence March 22

What ethical dilemmas will arise in corporate communities with the emergence of artificial intelligence? The question will be addressed in a special university-hosted lecture presented by Mohan Nair, senior vice president and chief innovation officer at Cambia Health Solutions, on Wednesday, March 22.

Nair’s presentation, “Ethical Dilemmas to Community with Artificial Intelligence: Merging into a World Enabled by Artificial Intelligence,” begins at 7 p.m. in Hoover 105. There is no charge to attend, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The lecture is being presented by George Fox’s Office of the President and College of Business, and is the first installment of the university’s Reiten Lecture on Leadership Development.

Nair guides Cambia Health’s Innovation Force as it inspires ideas from a variety of sources, selecting execution-focused concepts and starting them on the path to new businesses or concepts. More on his background is available here.

This is the first Reiten lecture, named in honor of Richard G. Reiten, retired chairman and CEO of Northwest Natural. Reiten has served in a number of high-ranking capacities with Northwest Natural from 1996 to the present, including as chairman of the board and CEO, and is a former president of the Portland General Electric Company. Reiten and his wife Jeanie contributed the funds to endow the lecture.

More information on Nair’s visit is available by calling Missy Terry at terrym@georgefox.edu.
