Rebecca Hernandez hired as university’s chief diversity officer

Rebecca Hernandez has been hired to be George Fox University’s next chief diversity officer! She is currently associate dean of intercultural development and educational partnerships at Goshen College. Prior to that, she served at Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing, Center for Health Disparities Research.

Rebecca has a teacher’s heart and a love for students and learning. She is also an accomplished scholar and speaker. Rebecca has a PhD from Oregon State University in human development and family studies, a masters of public administration from Portland State University, and a bachelor of arts in secondary education, social studies, from Southeastern College in Lakeland, Fla.

We are very excited to have Rebecca join us at George Fox beginning July 1, 2014!
